J-Top’s BBQ Shop Glossary terms, glossary, also known as a vocabulary or clavis, is an alphabetical list of terms in a particular domain of knowledge with the definitions for those terms.

Lingo is the specialized language that people of like mind use to communicate. Computer geeks have their jargon, poker players have their jargon, and pit masters have theirs. Jargon also serves another important, but aggravating function: Separating “us” from “them.” That’s right, people often talk jargon so they can leave you out of the conversation in order to feel superior.
